Ahh! Pure Joy

Ahh! The joys of a knitting group. What else compares to a group of women coming together to knit, talk, laugh and eat? We were born to gravitate towards each other and gossip while we glean from one anothers wisdom and knowledge. The bunch of ladies I share this ritual with meet every other Thursday afternoon at our LYS (Ewenique Yarns) from 12:30 to whenever - I love the "whenever" part. It's such a wonderful way to take a break from life, relax and actually get beautiful things accomplished.

My project for today was crocheting two scrumptiously soft winter white roses. I made them out of Indulgence by Cascade Yarns. This delightful luxury yarn is 70% superfine alpaca and 30% angora. Definitely one of my favorite yarns to work with, especially for making roses. These particular flowers are destined to embellish a "Roses on the Trellis" scarf I am currently creating for a customer.

Take notice in the picture of my fantastic new knitting bag. It was last weeks find at the thrift store on the next block from me. I'm wild about the whole tapestry/carpet bag look. The cute little handles on it are actual wood, not plastic. The brand is Angelo Isaac (I wasn't familiar with it - but sure do love it). Although it came from a second hand store, it still had the original tag on it and had never been used. What a deal!

I agree! One of the highlights of my week is our Monday night class. Those roses look familiar! My scarf was honored to be featured in your very first blog!
Love,

I love the bag!!! How many knitting bags do you have now? A girl can never have too many bags...or shoes! I love "my" teapot cozy! I hope who ever purchases it has as many lovely afternoon teas as we have!
Love you dear friend!
