Resting Easy

Just a quick post to let you know we are resting easy today. Gabby is away for awhile and the pups and I are enjoying some quiet time. Jose' is nestled down in some pillows on my bed while the two weenies are snuggled up keeping their mommy warm while she relaxes to an audio book with yarn and crochet hook in hand. {I'm still working with the ingredients from my bowl of "yarn soup"}. This is a picture of Phoebe and Sophie keeping my spot warm while I was brewing a cup of tea.

Phoebe is completely over her toxic reaction to the shot. It was 12:30 that night {the shot was administered at 10:00a.m.} before all of her swelling was gone. Her ears were the last thing to go down. She is once again chewing all of our shoes and causing a ruckus with Sophie & Jose'. So all is well with her.

Sophie has finally finished all her antibiotic from having 8 teeth pulled and is now able to eat her dry food again. The brushing starts next week! I'll need prayer coverage for that one too! I'm going to introduce them all to daily toothbrushing!!!

And I just have to show you this picture taken over the weekend of Scott covered in doggies! It's how we relax around here:-)

Many heartfelt thanks again to each and every one of you out there. Your prayers and comments of concern made me feel very much comforted and loved!
Please ~ always feel free to send any prayer requests you may have my way.

"And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." James 5:15

"For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them." Matthew 18:20

Our God is mighty and He is able to do all that we ask. We just have to remember to ASK. And it ALWAYS helps to have someone agree with us in prayer. And after we ask, we REST... and WAIT... because our answer is coming down from the heavens, sometimes in the form of a miracle.
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
Matthew 11:28 & 29
"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him..." Psalm 37:7a
"But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint." Psalm 40:31

May you all be blessed today!

Danette, who needs blankets!? Good to see evry-one looking healthy and happy. Scarlett and I have been reading about Harriet Tubman(Moses). What a girl!! She prayed to God, and then remained calm and still. She listened to our Father and followed his instructions to a tee. as a result she led 100s to freedom, and still returned to the south many times to gather more to freedom. God was with her and she never was caught. her spiritual journey is well worth the read, and touching to the soul!her faith never diminished. Becky, when you mentioned that Danette could possibly be plotting our punishment, it scared me straight! I will check out that blog, and will pray for that child and her family! Everyone be blessed! Kathy

Ooooh, Kathy, what's the name of the book you're reading? How old is Scarlett? I was going to buy a children's book about Harriet Tubman for my 4 & 5 year old cousins, but thought the subject was a bit mature for them. I don't want them to know about the hurt and scars from slavery until they have to, you know?

Yarn talk (to keep us out of trouble): the baby blanket is coming along swimmingly! Just a few more rows, then the shell border to go! Yay!!

Actually the book we are reading now, Scarlett found at the School Library. I went back and checked it out, Tuesday. Scarlett just turned 7, she is totally inspired by Harriet's story. I think 4 and 5 would be just fine with this book. It is called Moses.the story relates to Harriet's Spiritual journey leading her people to freedom.I was surprised that the public School offered this book. Great stuff gave me goose bumps and brought tears (of joy) to my eyes. I mentioned it, because I felt it was on track with exactly what Danette was writing about, concerning God. Pray and stay still, listen, God will answer. Only Harriet actually had visions sent from God, even when she was terrified,she did what God told her to do. I am sure she felt like a grasshopper in the land of giants.

Ooooh, I'll check into this book, Kathy. The boys might really enjoy it. (And I'd enjoy reading it before I mail it to them! It's a great excuse to read kids' books!)

So glad to hear that everyone is doing so much better. I LOVE the picture of your hubby and the dogs...isn't that why we have dogs, so they can use us as giant pillows! :o)

Have a great day!

go ahead and buy 2, you will want to keep one for yourself. Who is the baby blanket for?

It's for a friend of mine & her husband from Iowa. This is her first baby - a boy. I also made her a little blue bear beanie, too. (I really just wanted an excuse to make another blanket!) He's not due till April, so I've got plenty of time.

Is the book blue-ish with Harriet wearing & red & white kerchief on her head? If so, that's the one I almost bought my cousins!

Oh, I am originally from Iowa!! (Water-loo) Yes, that is the book! This is the second time we have checked it out from the library, the next trip to Barnes and Noble, I am going to buy it. Scarlett said it is a must have. We love books, I just dont get a chance to read them like I use to. But those days will be back before I know it.

I'm so glad Phoebe is improved. I wish I had read your news sooner about the reaction. It must have been a terrible fright to all of you. Everyone looks snug as a bug in the photos.

Heee! What a cute pic! I'm glad your pooches are doing better, poor little things!

Happy Birthday to Chelsea! I was going to say how cute her hair was, then I read about her going to school. Hurray for her! I hope she loves it as much as I do.

Your dishclothes are so cute, and the yarn soup looks yummy, lol...

Gabby, as always, is a doll.
