Christmas Tea

All through the years my girls were growing up my friend Diane hosted a Mother~Daughter Christmas Tea. Her house was always decked out in beautiful holiday fashion! We ate delicious food and elegant desserts. And laughed and laughed when we all sat in a circle playing that old game where you whisper something in the ear of the person next to you and see how different the phrase is by the time the last person says it out loud. So many memories flood my mind of those wonderful times spent with warm, loving friends.
Diane now lives in Kentucky and though we are seperated by miles, our hearts are as close as ever. Her two oldest daughters, Hannah & Maria, are the same ages as Hilary & Chelsea. We've shared a lot of good times watching these lovely girls grow into beautiful young ladies over the years. I think my favorite part of the holiday season is all the memories of past Christmases that come to life again.
I just have to share something so exciting with everyone. For years I have prayed God would bring my best friend from high school, Kathy, back into my life. Just yesterday I discovered an e-mail from her! I cried and laughed and ran through the house telling everybody. We've searched for each other for years and she finally found me through this blog. God is so good!

"A friend loves at all times..." Proverbs 17:17

I am so thankful to God for the many precious friends He has blessed me with.

What beautiful items. Most would agree that Gabby tops the beauty of this blog. What a doll!! My heart can rest now that I have found my sweet Danette. Memories flood my soul. remembering times such as our first job at Hausers Cafe. We had a great day when we made $10.00 in tips. Our fashion was really exquisite, with our rabbit fur coats that we wore Levis with. Yes I could always trust Danette with believing in me and never telling my secrets. After all she knew I would marry Shawn Cassidy and she never told any-one. What better best friend could a girl of asked for. Thank-you God for Bringing Danette into my life all those years ago. I love you, Danette, Kathy

Kathy! Hey there girl! Are you still in love with Shawn Cassidy and how does your husband feel about that? Ah~you take me back. We didn't realize it then, but life really was simpler in so many ways. We had some great times at that little rinky-dink cafe. Remember Officer Larry and his dime tip for a million cups of coffee? And who could forget those rabbit fur coats?! My daughters found mine packed away in the basement a few years ago and had a BIG laugh! Of course, all I could think of the minute it surfaced was you. Thank God He has brought us back together:)! I love you, too! Danette

Good morning from Georgia!! Glad to hear your back in full force. Oh, that thing with Shawn Cassidy, sorry to say it didnt work out. My husband? Now that is a keeper! I bet all you ladies are drinking your tea extra warm these days. I wish I was there to do some knitting with yall! I just know you all are producing some mittens, because by the sounds of it you sure need them. Every-one have a blessed day Love, Kathy

Hey Kathy~
Funny you should mention mittens. I'm planning to knit some ASAP. And, yes, we need plenty of hot tea these days. Wish I lived in Georgia. Although, I do like some snow every now and then. I just love the sunshine and being outside so much too! I'm glad you didn't marry silly old Shawn. I'm sure your hubby is much better!
