News of the Week

Just want to let everyone know I'm still alive and kicking! Been fighting a migraine off and on for days now but am starting to feel better again tonight. I still taught my Monday night girls at Eli's this week and, as usual, had a great time. Becky started a new crocheted scarf that's going to be absolutely gorgeous. Barbara started crocheting a fine little necklace that she will be adding buttons that she inherited from her grandmother to. And Cathy's knitted lace scarf continues to grow. It's moving slow but, since she is Scott's boss and had to do his job as well as hers for the two weeks he was off recovering from surgery, we really have to cut her some slack. She hasn't had much knitting time lately.
I also had the pleasure of teaching someone new to crochet this week. We had two lessons with each other and I think she's on her way for now. Her name is Sandy and she had a potholder her mother, who is no longer living, had made years ago. She is leaving for Florida after Christmas and would like to spend some of her time there crocheting like she watched her mother do for a lifetime. How fun it always is for me to pass on these timeless forms of artwork. I just love it!
Also, I was thrilled to see my long lost and newly found friend Kathy show up on my blog comments. I still smile and thank God every time I think of her. I am so happy to be reconnected with her!
I hope all of you reading this are happy and healthy. I'll be back in full swing soon and will have pictures of some current works in progress and, undoubtedly, some of Gabby (who is always a piece of work!). TaTa for now.

Hi! So sorry to hear you're still fighting that nasty old "sick headache." I've been missing your blogs & wondered if you were still feeling crummy. You let me know if I can do anything to help, okay?
Love and Moochie Kisses,
Becky

Thanks Becky! Sorry I forgot to send your gauntlets with Hilary this morning. Stop by after work and get them if you want to. Also, Gabby got your Christmas card and loved it. She immediately stuck ALL of the stickers on her cute little pink blouse. Love you girl!

Don't worry about the gauntlets - I think I could pick them up after work, around 5:10ish. I'm glad Gabby liked her card. (my mom actually is the one who found it for her) Don't you remember how exciting it was to get mail when you were little?
Happy Friday!

Migraines are the worst, I've been fighting one off this week too, I hope that yours is completely gone now!

I was wondering if you had heard anything about the new bill passed that might effect anything you make to sell for children? You can read about it on my blog. It could be really devastating so I'm trying to help out in getting everyone aware of it and to write their senator & state rep.

Hope you are all doing well! Ready for Christmas?

Love you!

Hi Malory!
Thanks for the FYI on the new bill. I'm not familiar with it. I'll check out your blog. Hope you are all well and getting ready for Christmas. I'd love to see you and precious little Ivory! Gabby looks at a picture of her and says her name. I know she'd love to see her soon. Love You!:) Danette

We'd love to see you soon too! That's so cute that she knows Ivory's name!

I'm just about ready for Christmas, I still have two gifts to buy and a little more sewing to do...I also wanted to make a gingerbread house with Ivory. We made cookies last week and she had a blast! She kept sneaking the cookie dough though! She takes after me for sure, haha :)

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas! We look forward to seeing you after the Christmas chaos is over
