Here's the Gang!

Last night found me chatting it up again with the girls at Eli's. They had hooks and needles flying---well, sort of. Becky's still struggling with the whole crocheted sock thing! I really think the stitch count in the pattern is off so I brought the book home to peruse it better. And Sarah was having a similar problem with a hat. It's her first time to knit in the round, which she's doing on two sets of circulars. Once we got it connected correctly and she got past the first round we realized the pattern is definitely written wrong. She ordered it online and is going to contact the designer to ask "what in the world?". I'm anxious to see what happens there.

The gang pictured together is: seated, left to right, Barbara, Me, Sarah and standing behind us, left to right: Becky and Cathy.

Cathy and Barbara pretty much sailed through the evening smoothly with their scarves. Cathy, a brand new knitter, is working on a feather and fan scarf and Barbara, a "I put my hook down years ago and want to pick it back up" crocheter is zipping through a shell stitch scarf.

All things considered, we had our usual great time full of laughs and Eli's delicious drinks made especially for us by Emily, the owners very cute sister. As always, I can't wait until next Monday night (finally! something that makes me look forward to a Monday:). Thanks Girls!!!

One final note---we all eyeballed and talked about a new dessert Katie had in the case last night- a Tiramasu Pumpkin thing. We showed great restraint (worrying over our thighs, especially with the big Thanksgiving Feast just days away)! However... I could sneak back in there today while none of the girls are looking. I do have a few errands to run, which often requires a little pick me up from Eli's. Those dreaded errands are sounding better by the minute!

Awww, look at us! I love that picture! Whoda thunk I'd anticipate Mondays for anything? Our class is one of the highlights of my entire week!

You all look GORGEOUS! And the class is a definite highlight for me. Wow, how odd to look forward to a Monday.

Hmph! I still have to work Monday nights. But I do enjoy reading about the class and seeing the pictures. Everyone does look so lovely. I could definitely use the help in the crochet department though. As a knitter, I am still wondering where my other "needle" is.

Yes, that whole work thing kind of cuts into the real important things in life! We all wish you could join us for class. And, actually, your crochet swatch wasn't too bad. You just need a little help around the edges---but don't we all.

Our group should petition to get Hillie off work on Mondays. I miss my friend at our classes! :(

I like this plan. Do you think we could make it so I still get paid? ... Rebecca would kill me if I left her on Monday nights.

Without a doubt, the only logical solution is for Rebecca to come, too.
